19th Century French Butcher Block with Antique Meat Cleavers Knives
Place this antique “billot de boucher”, or butcher block in your kitchen or breakfast room; crafted in France circa 1880, this charming piece sits on four fluted legs embellished with decorative diamond shaped medallions. The table is made of mixed woods including maple, and features a carving station surface shaped from generations of use, angle metal brackets at each corner, and a large center drawer under a shaped apron with original handle. The small back features a iron knife storage slat decorated with three antique meat cleaver and chopper butcher knives with wood handles. The butcher table is in very good condition commensurate with age and use and has a rich light walnut patina. A true one of a kind!
