$1,600
About
Crafted in Provence, France circa 1920, the antique fruitwood bench stands on cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaves at the shoulders, and ending with escargot feet. The scalloped and bombe apron on the stool is decorated with a carved shell with foliage motifs. The seat is upholstered with the original needlepoint tapestry and embellished with decorative brass nail heads. The elegant bench is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Place this versatile bench at the foot of a bed, or use it for extra seating in a den, or around a breakfast room table. Measures: 34″ W x 18″ D x 18″ H.
