17th Century French Louis XIII Carved Walnut Side Table with Drawer
$2,300
About
Crafted in the Perigord region of France, circa 1670, the antique table stands on four thick carved turned legs ending with bun feet, and embellished with an elegant curved stretcher at the base. The side table features a large drawer across the front decorated with a diamond shape motif and dressed with the original wooden pull. The surface is dressed with a rectangular top over a scalloped apron embellished with decorative finials. The Louis XIII Period end table is in very good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Versatile, the occasional table could be used in a study or library next to a sofa or chair, or used as a small desk in a bedroom. Some original ink spots on the surface (see pictures). Measures: 38″ W x 24″ D x 28″ H.
