This large antique polychrome wood statue of St. Nicholas of Tolentino was carved in Italy, circa 1680. The religious sculpture features the saint dressed in traditional cassock robes standing and holding a theological book. Next to him is a young boy kneeling and praying. The religious figure is in wonderful condition and has a well maintained original paint finish. Known as the saint patron of holy souls, St. Nicholas was born in 1246 and died in 1306.
