17th Century Spanish Carved Walnut Single Plank Top Three-Drawer Console Table
This elegant antique fruitwood Baroque console was crafted in Spain, circa 1680. Carved on all four sides, the long sofa table stands on thick turned legs ending with bun feet over a bottom stretcher at the base. The console features a single plank top resting over three drawers across the front embellished with carved geometric and diamant-form motifs; each drawer is further dressed with the original wooden knobs. The important Louis XIII style table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with lots of character, and adorns a rich and deep walnut patina. Place this large console behind a large sofa in a den, or use it against a wall in a living room under an 18th Century Aubusson tapestry! Measures: 89″W x 27″D x 31″H.
