18th Century French Carved Oak Farm Trestle Table from Normandy
$6,900
About
This elegant antique dining table was crafted in Normandy, France circa 1780. Built of solid oak, the refectory table stands on two carved trestle support legs ending with molded shoe base, and joined by cross stretcher attached with key and tenon. The Provincial table is dressed with a solid 3″ thick rectangular top and rounded corners; the top slides in in a very interesting and genius way, displaying mortise and tenon joinery. The super heavy Louis XIII style farm table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina with beautiful distress; a wonderful breakfast or dining table that would sit easily six to eight people! Measures: 80.5″ W x 35.25″ D x 30″ H.
