18th Century French Louis XIII Carved Chestnut Coffer Trunk from the Pyrenees
Store your winter blankets in this antique fruitwood trunk. Crafted in the Pyrenees mountains (southwest France) circa 1780, and sited on carved paw feet, the chest has the original forged hinges in the back and opens up from the top to reveal plentiful of inside storage. The front facade features three panels decorated with hand carved star and geometric motifs. The coffer is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina; use this elegant storage cabinet at the foot of a bed.
