18th Century, French, Louis XIII Carved Walnut Barley Twist Side Table Desk

Crafted in the Perigord region of France, circa 1780, the side table features a single drawer across the front decorated with a forged iron handle and escutcheon. The writing desk stands on four beautifully hand carved, barley twist legs, embellished with a thick stretcher at the bottom. The Louis XIII occasional table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina.
