This elegant, antique fruitwood buffet was carved in Southern France, circa 1780. The Classic cabinet exemplifies the Louis XV style with a heavy presence, dramatic lines and intricate floral and foliage carvings throughout. The beautiful cabinet has a scalloped apron, escargot feet, and features a pair of arched doors across the front. Furthermore, the cabinet has inside shelving and drawers for additional storage space. The scalloped top is the perfect place to display porcelain objects, frames, and more. The buffet is is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and has a well-maintained rich walnut patina and embellished with heavy hardware and long decorative escutcheons.
