18th Century, French, Louis XV Provencal Carved Hand Painted Grandfather Clock
Crafted in Provence, southern France, circa 1790 and built in one section, the antique hand painted tall case clock stands on curved feet over a scalloped apron, and features beautiful lines including a bonnet top over a violin shape body. The elegant grandfather clock is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns an exquisite painted decor with floral, music instrument motifs, and the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow on top of the central door. Weights, pendulum and winding key included. Measures: 20″W x 11″D x 92.5″H.
