18th Century French Louis XVI Gilt Trumeau Mirror from Provence

This tall, antique trumeau was crafted in Southern France, circa 1780. The elegant, colorful piece is topped with a hand-carved vase with ribbons in a classical style. Underneath, the canvas painting portion features a pastoral scene with a shepherd tending to her sheep in a lush landscape with a tent. Below the painting is a large rectangular mirror with its original mercury glass. Overall, the composite piece is in excellent condition with wonderful colors and rubbed gilt patina around the frame.
