18th Century French Louis XVI Painted and Gilt Wood Trumeau Wall Mirror

Crafted in Versailles, France, circa 1770, the parcel gilt and painted frame features carved foliate and scrolled moldings throughout. The piece is dressed at the top with a oil on canvas painting depicting an outdoor courting scene with a gentleman kissing a young beauty. The bottom features a rectangular flat mirror with mercury glass. The elegant trumeau mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich patinated colors in the soft green palette embellished with gilt accents throughout.
