This beautifully executed antique wedding trunk was crafted in Normandy France, circa 1780. The colorful box with arched top, is embellished with the original iron lock plate and top handle; the cabinet is decorated with hand painted birds, swag, floral and leaf motifs scattered on all four sides including on the bombe top. The small cabinet features the original patinated painted finish composed of dark green, beige and red palette colors. The 18th century trunk is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a wonderful and rich hand painted finish. Dress a coffee table, or decorate the top of kitchen cabinets with this elegant and versatile wedding box! Measures: 16.75″W x 11″ D x 10″ H.
