18th Century Japanese Painted Imari Bowl with Bronze Dore Base and Mounts
Place this antique Imari bowl on your entry buffet for a small dose of oriental design. Crafted in Japan circa 1760, the round, exotic porcelain vide poche sits on an ornate Louis XV gilt bronze stand. The shallow, ceramic bowl features hand painted floral decor with gilt accents and traditional Asian motifs. The stem or neck of the bowl is decorated with decorative ormolu foliage mounts, and on either side, you’ll find the bowl is embellished with ornate decorative handles. The luxurious dish has artful details throughout and is in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt finish.
