19th Century English Black Painted Cast Iron Wall Mailbox with Relief Decor

This antique iron mailbox was forged in England, circa 1880. The wall mail holder features high reliefs decorations on the front door including a pastoral scene and a horseman on his mount. The front has a envelope slot with word “LETTERS”. The heavy mailbox is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original patinated black finish. Original key included. Measures: 14.5″ W x 3.5″ D x 11.5″ H.
