19th Century English George III Silver-Plated over Copper and Cut-Glass Epergne
This elegant five-bowl antique epergne was created in England, circa 1890. Made of copper with silver plated, the centerpiece stands on four scrolled feet decorated with shell motifs over a round base embellished with repousse foliage decor. The piece features a center crown supporting a large cut-glass bowl with scalloped edge, and four scrolling arms holding smaller cut-glass coupes with geometric decor. The center piece is in excellent condition with a rich silver finish. Markings on the bottom. This intricate cut-glass epergne is traditionally used to hold flowers or fruits on a large dining room table or other surface. Measure: 21.5″ W x 21.5″ D x 13.25″ H.
