19th Century English Mahogany Library Step Ladder with Storage and Leather Top
This Regency style set of library stairs was created in England, circa 1870. The three stairs sits on four small turned legs, and have been re-upholstered with a brown leather, further embellished with an embossed gilt tooled decor. The top step has a lid that can be lifted up, and opens to reveal an interior storage compartment. The second step also lifts up and has a pull out drawer that has additional storage space. The steps are in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina throughout. This piece would make an interesting and practical addition to any study or library! Measures: 19.5″ W x 27.5″ D x 26.25″ H.
