Carved of walnut wood in France circa 1880, the black forest box sits on small bracket feet and features high quality carving decor, including a deer on rocky ground standing in front of a tree at the pediment. The front and sides are decorated with floral and leaf motifs. The casket top lifts up and reveals an interior upholstered with the original luxurious green velvet fabric. The elegant vanity essential is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich walnut patina. Measures: 13″ W x 6.25″ D x 10.75″ H.
