19th Century French Black Forest Carved Walnut Mantel Clock

Crafted in France circa 1860, the antique fruitwood clock stands on a thick recessed plinth decorated with leaf motifs; the clock has an arched top with volutes and finials on both sides; the front is decorated with hand carved flowers and fruit in high relief. The timepiece with blue and white enamel Roman numbers, has been checked and cleaned, is in excellent working order, keeping good time, and striking on the hour and half hour. The Black Forest time keeper is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina. Place this elegant Napoleon III clock on a mantel or a shelf in an office or study. Original pendulum and key included. Measures: 17.5″ W x 6″ D x 14.25″ H.
