19th Century French Black Wrought Iron and Brass Binding Press on Oak Base
This elegant notary paper binding press with handle was forged in France, circa 1860. Standing on an oak base, the classic iron “presse a relier” is decorated with foliage and leaf motifs, painted black and further embellished with gilt accents. The heavy tool is in wonderful working order and good condition. Place this antique accessory in a study or library!
