19th Century French Brass Silver Plated Champagne Bucket with Grape Decor

Created in France, circa 1950, the bowl features intricate repousse decorative grape and vine motifs and the engraving “Champagne Charles de Cazavove” on both sides. This silver cooler is both a beautiful and practical way to keep your wine or champagne bottles cool while sitting on a bar surface. The bucket is in excellent condition with a rich patinated silver finish. Charles de Cazanove is a Champagne producer based in Reims in the region of Champagne. The house was founded in Avize in 1811 by Charles Gabriel de Cazanove and was further developed by his botanist son Charles Nicolas de Cazanove who was a leader in the efforts to fight phylloxera.
