19th Century French Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock Signed L & F Moreau
This elegant mantel clock was created in France circa 1860. The asymmetrical bronze clock signed L & F Moreau, sits on a marble base with small feet at the bottom. The clock top features a woman sculpture lying down and pouring wine. The female figural has a detailed expression and artfully carved texture throughout her hair and draped robes. The internal clock mechanism has been checked and fixed and is in excellent working order. The hand painted porcelain clock face and clockworks are marked “Ancienne Maison Franjus Raison & Thomas Successeur”. The clock is in excellent condition, with a rich patinated finish, and is complete with key and pendulum.
