Decorate a shelf or a man’s desk with this stately antique bird sculpture. Crafted in France circa 1850, the carved marble sculpture features an eagle standing on a rock. The realistic avian figure has glass eyes and wonderful detailed carvings especially through the plumage and talons. The gray, black and white marble bird sits on a swivel square base giving the animal sculpture an even more imposing and grand presence. The animal sculpture is in excellent condition with rich patinated finish with different shades of marble, and is signed on the side H. Stuhmer for further authentication. Measures: 9.5″W x 4.5″D x 10″H.
