19th Century French Carved Hand Painted Faience Jardinière from Normandy
Decorate a dining room table with this colorful antique jardinière. Crafted in Rouen, Northern France circa 1890 and oblong in shape, the shallow ceramic planter stands on four small tapered feet over a scalloped apron, and dressed with elegant rope form side handles. The detailed, ornate flower pot is embellished with hand painted floral and leaf decor both inside and outside. The large centerpiece with bombe sides is in excellent condition with rich colors in a neutral rust and green palette. Marking on the bottom for further authentication. Fill up the jardiniere with a dry floral arrangement and place it as a center piece on a dining table, buffet or a mantel. Measures: 19″ W x 11.25″ D x 5.5″ H.
