Hand-carved in France, circa 1870, the crest features a hand painted central coat of arms shaped as a heart, and decorated with family emblems including Fleur-de-Lys, crossed keys, and other symbolic emblems. The top of the shield is further dressed with a hefty royal crown. The elegant crest is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a distressed patinated painted finish in the cream, red and blue palette. Hook in the back for easy installation. Measures: 19” W x 27” H.
