19th Century French Carved Walnut, Forged Iron and Leather Fireplace Bellows
Decorate a fireplace and active the flames with this elegant and useful antique bellows, crafted in France circa 1860, the fireplace essential features a heavy carved top surface with two handles at one end, an iron blower at the other extremity, and the original accordion red leather strapping devise in between embellished with decorative brass nail heads. The bellows is in excellent condition and has a rich walnut patina and wonderful patinated leather. (A bellows is a device constructed to furnish a strong blast of air forcing a stream when the cavity is compressed.
