This antique wooden and iron safe, with secret combination, was crafted in Paris France, circa 1870. The black painted safe stands on an attached carved oak base decorated with a straight bottom plinth and dressed with a center door. The safe topped with a oak surface, is dressed with a bronze medallion which read: “H. Delort & Cie Paris” at the top. It features a center door with key hole and four-number code combinations in the center. The door opens to reveal two inside adjustable shelves for storage. The lock has an intricate mechanism to open the safe (watch video). The bottom has a bottom door for additional storage. The secure safe is in excellent condition with a beautiful finish throughout. Four keys included. Weight over 200 pounds.
