Crafted in France, circa 1870, the elegant antique cabinet is decorated with front rounded columns ending with bun feet, and embellished with decorative brass mounts at the shoulder and the base. The small fruit wood chest features a drawer across the front dressed with a brass lion head pull, over a center door with a matching brass lion figure knob, and opening to inside shelving. The top is dressed with the original variegated black marble surface. The petite Empire style nightstand with clean and traditional lines, is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina; versatile, it could also be used as an occasional side table. Measures: 16.75″ W x 14″ D x 29.75″ H.
