About
This elegant fruitwood chest of drawers was crafted in France, circa 1860. The traditional antique commode sits on round columnar feet, and features three drawers across the front with the original bronze pulls and key holes escutcheons, and a fourth additional drawer dressed with a decorative center brass mount under the marble. The cabinet is embellished on both sides by carved round columns with decorative bronze rings at the neck and base, and the surface has the original black marble top. This chest is in excellent condition and adorns a rich walnut patina. The Empire style cabinet would make a wonderful powder room vanity with the addition of a sink, or could simply be used in an entry or in a bedroom for extra storage. Key included. Measures: 50.75″ W x 23.75″ D x 34.75″ H.
