19th Century French Hand Painted Faience Oblong Jardinière with Floral Motifs

Crafted in Normandy, France, circa 1890, the large ceramic bombe planter sits on four scroll feet decorated with acanthus leaves. The shallow, detailed planter dressed with elegant scrolled rope-form side handles, features a scalloped rim around the top embellished with a carved decorative shell in the center. The detailed, ornate flower pot is decorated with hand painted floral and leaf motifs on both sides. The oblong ceramic centerpiece is in excellent condition with rich colors in a blue, yellow and white palette. Decorate a mantel or a dining room with this large and colorful antique jardinière. Measures: 25.75″ W x 14.25″ D x 9″ H.
