Display your rifle or shotgun collection in this beautifully carved, antique gun cabinet. Created in France, circa 1860, the two-piece buffet with barley twist side columns, sits on bun feet over a recessed base plinth. The upper section is decorated at the pediment with a deer head sculpture and real horns over a central cartouche and foliate motifs. The cabinet features a pair of doors with the original wavy clear glass panels; when opened, the inside is dressed with nine gun holder slots; it will hold up to 9 guns in the upright position with slot for each stock and barrel. The bottom section with barley twist columns is dressed with two upper drawers decorated with carved branch handles. Each door panel decorated with carved foliate is further embellished with oval hand carved medallions of rabbit and fish sculptures in high relief. The inside reveals a middle shelf for additional storage. The tall buffet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich light bleached oak finish, and exquisite hunting and fishing carvings. Guns not included. Two keys included.
