This elegant, antique fruitwood four-drawer chest of drawers was crafted in France, circa 1850. Built of walnut with veneer motifs on the front, the traditional commode stands on rounded feet over a thick and raised base plinth; the cabinet features a frieze drawer at the top dressed with a center escutcheon, over three additional drawers. The three middle drawers are dressed with the original brass pull rings and matching escutcheons. The Louis Philippe cabinet with simple lines is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina throughout. The commode could be used in a bedroom for clothing storage, or could make a wonderful powder room vanity with the addition of a sink. Measures: 52″ W x 22.25″ D x 34.25″ H.
