Crafted in the Burgundy region of France circa 1850, the elegant antique mirror has traditional lines with rounded corners at the top and a thick straight plinth form at the bottom. The rectangular frame is decorated with a discrete engraved floral motif throughout and embellished with bead decor around the frame. The large wall piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, dressed with the original glass and parquet backing, and adorns a rich and luxurious patinated gold leaf finish. New hooks and wire in the back for easy handling and installation. Versatile and with great proportions and size, the Louis Philippe mantel mirror could be placed over a fireplace, or in a bedroom or entryway. Measures: 36.5″W x 49.5″H.
