19th Century French Louis Philippe Silver Leaf Mantel Mirror with Stripe Motifs
Dress a mantel with this elegant antique Louis Philippe mirror. Crafted in the Burgundy region of France, circa 1870, the rectangular mirror has traditional, timeless lines with top rounded corners. The wide frame is decorated with a luxurious silver leaf finish, further embellished with discrete engraved stripe decor around the frame. The classic wall piece features the original mercury glass with some visible mercury losses on the original glass (see pictures). The wall mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich and bright patinated silvered finish. New wire has been installed on the back for easy handling and installation. This Louis Philippe mirror could be added to a number of rooms in your home for a traditional French style, including in a dining room, or a powder room between a pair of sconces.
