Crafted in the Burgundy region of France, circa 1870, the rectangular antique mirror has traditional, timeless lines with rounded corners. The frame is decorated with a luxurious silver leaf finish over discrete engraved floral motifs, and further embellished with gilt carved bead decor around the frame. The classic wall piece is in excellent condition with its original mercury glass, sturdy wood backing, and adorns a rich and bright patinated two-tone silvered and gold leaf finish. New wire has been installed on the back for easy handling and installation. This Louis Philippe mirror could be added to a number of rooms in your home for a traditional French style, including over a mantel or in a powder room between a pair of sconces.
