19th Century French Louis XIII Carved Walnut and Velvet Six-Leg Bench
Decorate a hall way or add extra seating to a den or game room with this elegant antique Gothic style bench. Crafted in southern France circa 1870, and built of solid walnut, the seating stands on six carved, turned legs connected with an all around stretcher. The top is upholstered with a velvet stripe fabric embellished with decorative nail heads. The Louis XIII style bench is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina; versatile and six foot long, it would also make a beautiful statement at the foot of a king size bed, or used on one side of a dining or breakfast table.
