Crafted in the Perigord region of France, circa 1860, the antique writing table stands on thick carved turned legs ending with square feet, and embellished with an elegant rectangular box stretcher at the base. The large table features two paneled drawers across the front dressed with the original bronze knobs, over a large overhanging thick surface top. The masculine Louis XIII desk is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Versatile, the large table could be used in a study or library, or as a console against a wall. Measures: 71.5″ W x 32″ D x 31″ H.
