19th Century French Louis XV Bronze Dore and Marble Mantel Clock Signed Rignault

Crafted in Paris, France circa 1860, the antique time keeper rests on an attached white marble base over scrolled feet; the clock is decorated with two sited young lovers holding a bird nest and laughing. The clock is further embellished with foliage and acanthus leaf motifs throughout. The clock movement is signed “Rignault Horlogers, Paris” for authentication and provenance. The important timepiece has been checked and cleaned, is in wonderful working order, keeping good time, and striking on the hour and half hour. The large ornate clock is in excellent condition, and adorns a beautiful gilt bronze finish. Place this important clock on a mantel or a shelf in an office or study. Original pendulum and winding key included. See last pictures, back glass cracked. Measures: 22.5″W x 9″D x 18″H.
