Over five and a half feet tall, this important antique mirror is a one of a kind! Crafted in Paris, France circa 1850, the grand mirror is decorated with a hand carved cartouche at the pediment featuring floral and foliage motifs in high relief. The thick frame is further embellished with bead and geometric decor throughout. The large Louis XV mirror is dressed with the original mercury glass and wood backing. The impressive wall decor is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original rich gold leaf finish. Place this elegant and heavily carved mirror on top of a mantel, or over a buffet in a dining room, or a console in an entry. Measures: 41″ w x 67.5″ h.
