Decorate a powder room or entry with this elegant antique mirror. Crafted in France circa 1870, and curved at the top, the wall mirror is decorated with a hand carved cartouche at the pediment featuring a center shell motif flanked by floral and foliage decor in high relief on both sides. The thick frame is further embellished with bead and geometric decor throughout. The large Louis XV mirror is dressed with the original mercury glass and wood backing. The Louis XV style wall decor is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original rich gold leaf finish. Versatile, this mirror could be placed over a buffet in a dining room, or a console in an entryway. Measures: 30.5″ w x 51.5″ h.
