19th Century French Louis XV Carved Oak and Cane Side Chairs, Set of Six
Decorate a dining table with this elegant suite of antique oak side chairs. Crafted in France circa 1880, each dining chair stands on cabriole legs ending with escargot feet over an X bottom stretcher decorated with a floral medallion. Scalloped apron embellished with shell and foliage motifs. The chair features an arched back decorated with an hand carved shell and floral motif at the pediment. Both seat and back are outfitted with hand woven cane. The chairs are in good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina with delicate beige seat caning. Measures: 19.5″ W x 17.25″ D x 39.5″ H.
