Place this elegant, antique oak stool in your den for extra seating. Crafted in southern France circa 1890 and rectangular in shape, the heavily carved bench stands on cabriole legs decorated with floral and acanthus leaf motifs at the shoulders, and ending with escargot feet; it is further embellished with a serpentine X stretcher at the base. The pierced and bombe apron is decorated with floral and leaf motifs throughout. The seat is upholstered with a brown leather top, and dressed with decorative brass nail heads around the frame. The Provincial stool is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich oak patina. Measures: 22″ w x 16″ d x 16.5″ h.
