Decorate an atrium or indoor patio with plants in this elegant antique planter with matching mirror. Crafted in France circa 1880, the jardinière stands on escargot feet decorated with acanthus leaves at the shoulders. The bombe planter with serpentine sides, features hand carved scrolled motifs throughout including a large shell and foliage in high relief in the center, over the scalloped apron; the planter is further dressed with the original inside zinc liner. The tall mirror features a carved shell cartouche at the pediment, floral motifs on the frame and is dressed with the original beveled mercury glass. Both Louis XV style planter and mirror are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Measures: 43″ W x 15″ D x 84.5″ H.
