This elegant, antique fruitwood salt box was crafted in southern, France, circa 1880. The ornate, decorative, walnut box sits on delicate escargot feet and features beautiful carvings throughout. The bombe box is carved with floral decor on the scalloped apron, and is further embellished with a star motif on the facade. The 19th century piece has a small but usable drawer at the bottom and a lift up top revealing inside storage. The kitchen accessory is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina, and could be used on a counter, a shelf or hung on a wall.
