19th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Chairs with Leather, Set of Four
Place this traditional set of four chairs around a game table or in a small breakfast room. Crafted in France, circa 1880, each side chair sits on cabriole legs and has a bottom stretcher with hand carvings around the frame. The carvings include a shell motif and acanthus leaves at the pediment. The chairs are upholstered with a black leather, which is embellished with animal skin on the back, and decorative brass nail heads. The chairs are in good condition commensurate with age and use and have a rich walnut patina. Measures: 19.5″ W x 18″ D x 39.75″ H.
