19th Century French Louis XV Cherry and Beige Marble Side Table from Burgundy
This elegant antique table was crafted in eastern France, circa 1860. Rectangular in shape, the occasional table stands on cabriole legs ending with hoof feet, over a scalloped apron decorated with a large drawer across the front, and embellished with a brass knob. The top is dressed with a beige “Pierre de Bourgogne” (aka Burgundy stone) with ogee edges. The Country French end table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich light cherry patina over a beautiful patinated marble; versatile, the table could be used next to a sofa or armchair, or as a bedside table. (Small chips and one hairline through the marble- see last few pictures to see detailed images). Measures: 39″ W x 26.5″ D x 27″ H.
