This elegant antique trumeau was created in France circa 1870; set in a carved and gilt painted frame, the painting features a serene harbor scene in the manner of Claude Vernet, a 18th century French painter. The art work features a Mediterranean port surrounded with tall cliffs, and people at work with a sailboat in the background. The large trumeau is in excellent condition with soft colors in the blue and beige palette. Measures: 56″ W x 38″ H.
