19th Century French Louis XV Rococo Bronze Dore and Porcelain Mantel Clock

Crafted in Paris, France circa 1860, the antique time keeper stands on an attached intricate base; the clock is decorated throughout with foliage and acanthus leaf motifs embellished with a cherub sculpture at the pediment. The clock is further decorated with three hand painted porcelain scenes medallions including a courting scene and a pastoral scene with farmhouse on the center face. The clock movement is signed “Paris” for further authentication and provenance. The timepiece has been checked and cleaned, is in excellent working order, keeping good time, and striking on the hour and half hour. The ornate clock has a beautiful gilt finish and pastel painted colors. Place this important clock on a mantel or a shelf in an office or study. Pendulum and key included. Measures: 9″ W x 8″ D x 17″ H.
