19th Century French Louis XVI Carved Painted Upholstered Banquette with Back
Place this elegant antique six-leg bench at the foot of a king size bed or in your living room for extra, versatile seating. Crafted in France, circa 1880, the traditional banquette stands on six tapered and fluted legs embellished with carved acanthus leaves at the shoulders and decorative square medallions at each corner. The settee features two curved small backs with spinals on each end, and the apron is decorated with detailed carvings. The piece has been reupholstered with a grey canvas fabric, and is complete with two matching bolster round pillows. The daybed is in excellent condition with a charming, antique rubbed patinated painted finish in the grey and antique white palette.
