This elegant antique “Encoignure” (or corner cabinet), was created in France circa 1880. Built of walnut, the cupboard stands on short tapered legs ending with brass capped feet over a straight apron across the front. The small buffet is dressed with a single door decorated with marquetry and contrasting string inlay, opening to interior shelving; the door is further embellished with a fake drawer dressed with the original escutcheon. The surface is dressed with a triangular variegated grey marble top with cut corners. The corner cabinet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich walnut patina. A perfect piece to fill a corner in a living room or powder room. Key included. Measures: 22.5″ W x 14.5″ D x 31″ H.
